Welcome to the City of Perth, the "Fair City" and legendary home of the Stone of Destiny for Perth the Half Marathon Running Festival. Whether you are looking for a memorable first half-marathon or chasing a PB this scenic river run route starting and finishing in front of the grandstand of the historic Perth Race course is the perfect option.

Running along the majestic banks of the River Tay Scotland's longest river, taking in the views of the stunning Scone Palace, gliding through the lush greenery of the North Inch and into the City of Perth, every mile is steeped in centuries of ancient and royal heritage. This isn't just a race! From the roar of the crowd to the breath taking scenery, the stage is set — it's a chance to claim your own place in history, IT'S YOUR DESTINY!

Half Marathon

Whether you are looking for a memorable first Half Marathon or chasing a PB this  scenic river route starting and finishing in front of the grandstand of the historic Perth Race course is the perfect option it is certified as accurate by Scottish Athletics.

Running along the majestic banks of the River Tay Scotland's longest river, taking in the views of the stunning Scone Palace, gliding through the lush greenery of the North Inch and into the City of Perth, every mile is steeped in centuries of ancient and royal heritage.

7.5km

A stunning, traffic free out and back route Scottish Athletcs certified accurate course starting in view of Scone Palace on the famous Perth Racecourse on traffic free paved paths.

The route taken follows the boundary of Perth Racecourse along the New Kingsway before traversing the New Destiny Bridge over the River Tay before looping under the bridge and following your footsteps back to the screaming crowds at the finish by the Grandstand of Perth Racecourse.

Pre-race information including a race briefing will be emailed in the week before the event and the website will also be updated with a downloadable Athlete Guide.

1 Mile 8 Furlong Fun Run

One mile of unforgettable fun. The 8 Furlong 1 Mile Fun Run is designed for children, families, and first-time runners who want to be part of the festival buzz without the pressure of a longer distance.

With a roaring crowd and a finish line that feels every bit as epic as the half marathon, the 8 Furlong 1 Mile Fun Run is one of the true highlights of the day.

Itinerary (provisional times - subject to change)

Registration – Sunday1st  August – 07:30 to 09:10 – Perth Racecourse Grandstand

Perth Half Marathon Race Start – 9:30am

8 Furlong 1 Mile Fun Run Start – 09:40am

Destiny 7.5km Race Start – 10:00am
