Burrs Bash at Burrs Country Park!

Phoenix Running Manchester are super excited to be collaborating with The Sunnywood Project for an awesome event at the beautiful Burrs Country Park.

This special event supports The Sunnywood Project, a fantastic community-based organisation helping people enjoy the great outdoors and boost their mental health.          

We also have a medal-free option, so you can enjoy a Phoenix event at a lower price with all the fun and community spirit included.

Medals
This is a pick-your-own medal event. If you've had your eye on a Phoenix medal you previously missed out on, please email us to check availability.

If the medal is available, we'll let you know and you'll need to book the event to reserve it. Otherwise, you'll be able to choose from the medals available on the day.

Medals are subject to availability.

Event Details
Location: Burrs Country Park BL8 1DA
Terrain: Mostly hard-packed trail and riverside trail
Format: Lapped event where you can complete as many laps as you like within an 7-hour time limit 
Elevation: Approximately 187 ft per 3.28 miles (5.3 km)         

1 lap = 3.28 miles
2 laps = 6.6 miles
4 laps = Half marathon
8 laps = Marathon
9 laps and over Ultra

Start time: "Rock up and run" when you're ready 8.30am onwards. All runners should be finished by 3.30pm. We don't have official start time, if you have any special requests on start times, please email us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Aid Station
As always, we'll have a well-stocked aid station available all day for everyone, regardless of distance. Options usually include crisps, pretzels, cookies, biscuits, bananas, squash, water, and more.

Facilities
Toilets and registration will be at The Sunnywood Hub.
Parking: Plenty of public, mostly free, parking is available within Burrs Country Park.

Charity Pledge
As part of our ongoing charity and community committment, we will be donating £1 per entry to The Sunnywood Project, supporting their mission to make the outdoors accessible and beneficial for everyone.
