Organiser's Description

P12 / P24 - The Longest Attended Day
Think you could run 1 mile on the hour every hour for 12 or 24 hours? Easy right?

Then come and join us for our 'attended' version of the P12 & P24 to be held on the summer solstice weekend on 22nd / 23rd June 2024 at the lovely Denbies Wines Estate in Dorking.

How does a P12 and P24 work?
Pretty simply really - we'll have a 1 mile route set up (as flat as possible) and then each hour, at the same time each hour, you run 1 mile and then repeat 24 times across the 24 hours for the P24 and 12 times across 12 hours for the P12. Simple.

The event includes full chip timing and our legendary 12mm thick, half kilo, P12 and P24 finisher's medal for all those who complete the 12 and 24 hours respectively. There's on-site camping included for tents (no mobile homes / campers I'm afraid) or if you can't be bothered to pitch an actual tent then onsite sitting around in between miles included and, of course, full 24 hour access to toilet and shower facilities. During daytime hours there is access to the onsite cafe which serves a multitude of hot food and has an outdoor serving hatch for teas, coffees, drinks, bacon rolls, sausage rolls and a selection of vegetarian & vegan food.

We'll also be co-ordinating our VIRTUAL version of this event simultaneously across the same 24 hour period for a truly integrated 'V-Live' event with both attended and virtual runners in unison.

Place will be strictly limited for the attended event and if you don't get a space then please do consider joining us virtually to be part of this epic endurance challenge.

Course Details

The overall course is as flat as we could possibly make it. There is one tiny upward slope of around 100m about 1/3 of a mile into the 1 mile lap, but this is very much made up for with a nice sweeping slight downhill for the next 0.3 of a mile. Overall it’s a lovely mile and quite quick.
