Organiser's Description

Looking for more of a challenge without any pressure? Race for Life 10k is for you! Our 10k events are now chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best – while you’re raising funds to help beat cancer. 10k is just over 6 miles. Take it at your own pace or push yourself a little more. Have fun with it and enjoy the atmosphere.

How to Get There

Please use public transport to get to the event as there is no parking on site.



From Basingstoke train station it is a 30min walk to the start line.



You can catch Bus 17and walk 5 minutes up Crossborough Gardens to the start line.



Bus 10, 12 13 also stop at Applegarth Close, this takes approx 3minutes to the start line.



There are a number of car parks locally these are: -

- Southern Road car park - 5min walk

- Castons Car park - 6min walk

- Castons Yard - 5min walk

- Joices Yard - 8min walk



Please be aware that parking in Crossborough car park is for blue badge holders only.

If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event or wish to bring a carer/assistant to accompany you or if you need to bring a guide runner, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at [email protected]



Unfortunately this event is not deemed suitable for wheelchair or pushchair users. The course is all on grass which can become boggy in poor weather and in some sections of the course there are narrow paths which are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.



For any spectators with wheelchairs who wish to access the start and finish area, there is blue badge parking about 150m from the event site but please be aware that the route between the two is entirely on grass, which may be boggy in wet weather.

Meeting Point Information

The start line is in the field behind Crossborough car park near the play park.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.



If you feel you might need extra help at the event please do pick up a special badge at the Blue Enquires Marquee so that our crew and volunteers can look out for you.
