Organiser's Description

The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.

How to Get There

Parking is available at Cannon Hill Park ,Queen's Ride, Birmingham B12 9QH. Follow brown attraction signs for Cannon Hill Park/MAC. The entrance is opposite Edgbaston Stadium. Participants are advised to follow car parking signs on the day which will encourage participants to use the far end of the car park use the entrance closest to the event site. Please note this car park is pay and display and normal charges apply.



The event site is located in the hard standing area to the left of the boating lake, opposite the children's play area.







Clean Air Zone timing and charges.

The Clean Air Zone is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and covers an area of the city centre within the A4540 Middleway. Over 300 road signs are in place to alert drivers about the Clean Air Zone.



The charges will be applied daily, effective from 14 June 2021. A non-compliant vehicle driving in the Zone will pay once for the day, then may drive in the area without limit on that day.

Further Information

Our recomendation is that this event is accessible for wheelchair users with assistance. The majority of the course is on well maintained paths with a small section on grass.

The event site is located in the large grassed area behind the Tennis Courts, Golf and Fairground. It is next to the boating lake.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.



If you feel you might need extra help at the event please do pick up a special badge at the Blue Enquires Marquee so that our crew and volunteers can look out for you.

Dogs are allowed at this event proving they are on a short lead.
