10k is a great step up from our 5k events, that's still achievable for everyone. Join a Race for Life 10k event and help raise valuable funds for cancer-beating research.

How to Get There

Please utilise public transport where you can. There is no specific event parking . Alternitvely please use city centre car parks.

The car parks most local to Bute Park and this event are:

Sophia Gardens
North Road Car Park
NCP Car Park Cardiff Westgate Street
Museum Avenue

There are various bus stops on Kingsway and Castle Steet however buses run at various times on a Sunday morning. Please go to https://www.cardiffbus.com/services for timetables.

Cathays and Cardiff Central train station are a 15 minute walk away.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Course Details

The Cardiff route takes a scenic tour around the stunning Bute Park in the heart of the City of Cardiff, following the River Taff into neighbouring Pontcanna Fields. This course allows participants to really explore Pontcanna Fields before returning into Blackweir. Lush grassy, flat terrain and such close proximity to the attractions of Cardiff Centre make this an extremely popular event with a fantastic atmosphere.

Further Information

This course is predominently on paths within Bute Park and then along grass in Pontcanna Fields so is wheelchair accessible with assistance but can become boggy and uneven in poor weather conditions.
