10k is a great step up from our 5k events, that's still achievable for everyone. Join a Race for Life 10k event and help raise valuable funds for cancer-beating research.

How to Get There

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

There are a number of buses that service Holyrood Park, only a short walk from the start line. Visit travelinescotland.com for help with planning your journey.

There are no car parks near the event area. Please use city centre car parks and allow plenty of time.

Course Details

The Edinburgh Holyrood course is set in the scenic grounds of Holyrood Park in the centre of Edinburgh. The 10k route is a single lap, starting and finishing on the field adjacent to Holyrood Palace and runs around Arthur's Seat, taking in the beautiful views across Edinburgh. This event is mainly on roads and includes a large incline.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

The course is wheelchair accessible however there is a steep incline on the route that may require some assistance. Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
