Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

How to Get There

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Due to the city centre location, there is no event parking available for this event. Please use public transport or city centre car parks when travelling to this event.

Course Details

The Pretty Muddy Edinburgh course is a single-lap flat route utilising the paths and grass of The Meadows.

There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Unfortunately Pretty Muddy is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the event as an obstacle run. The start and finish lines are situated within the Town Moor on the field adjacent to the Claremont Road bridge and Exhibition Park.

Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
