How to Get There

Event Car Parking is available at Swanpool Beach in return for a small donation to Cancer Research UK. Please follow signs on the day as some roads in the area will be closed for the event.

The nearest train station is Falmouth Town Station, which is approximately a 10 minute walk from the event area. The event area is also a short walk from various bus stops

Course Details

The Falmouth 5k route begins in Gyllyngvase Beach Car Park and follows the scenic coast along Cliff Road. The route then turns left at the end of Cliff Road on to Castle Drive and circles around towards Pendennis Castle and Pendennis Head, before returning to Cliff Road and heading back along the coast to the finish. You couldn’t ask for more spectacular views!

The roads are closed for the route which is mostly flat with a slight incline and decline around Pendennis Rise & Castle Drive.

Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

This course is all solely on tarmac. There is no differentiation in the terrain. The event site is also on hardstanding. However due to some steep inclines on the route, assistance may be required for wheelchair users.

Meeting Point Information

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single use plastic bottles.
