Race for Life Glasgow Pretty Muddy 5k

"By car:
General Event Parking: *Please note - car parking is extremely limited in this venue. You will likely experience a wait to get parked and leave the venue if you choose to drive to this event.* If you must travel to the event by car, we advise using junction 6 of the M74. Please drop off or car share where possible. The car parks near M&D's are approx. 35 minute walk to the start line, so please factor this in if you are parking on this side of the park.

Drop Offs: Follow the direction of stewards on the day.

Blue Badge Parking: is available close to the start line, follow the direction of stewards on the day.

Volunteer Parking: Within the main car-parks, please follow directions from the Stewards on the day.

Electric Charging points: There are charging points in the Water Sports Centre car park.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: The closest entrance of the park is the south entrance from Hamilton Road. Follow the internal park signage for the Water Sports Centre.

Bus: There is a bus stop just outside the south side of the park, on Strathclyde Road. Find help planning your journey here.

Train: Motherwell Train Station is approx. 25 minutes from the start line, Hamilton West and Hamilton Central Station are approx. 30 mins walk to the start line.

Cycling & Bike Racks: There are no official bike racks around the Water Sports centre side of the park."

The start and finish are on (tarmac). The course is a flat route around the Strathclyde Loch. Starting by the Watersports Centre, the route heads up to the north end of the Loch before heading back down the eastern shores and finishes by the Sandy Beach car park.


The finish line will be across the loch, next the to Beach Car Park.
