How to Get There

Public Transport

To reduce our impact on the environment, we would encourage the use of public transport where possible. Motherwell Train Station is approx. 25 minutes from the start line. There is a bus stop just outside the south side of the park, on Strathclyde Road. Please plan your journey using www.travelinescotland.com.

Cars

If you are travelling to the event by car, please ensure you use junction 6 of the M74. This is due to internal road closures within the park which mean event parking is only accessible via the south entrance of Strathclyde Country Park. Do not use the north entrance (near MD's) as these car parks are a 35 minute walk to the start line. Blue badge parking is available next to the start line, follow the direction of stewards on the day.

Further Information

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the obstacles in this event, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users to take part.

Spectators can access the full route from the adjacent path that runs the entire way round the loch which is wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Blue badge parking will be available close to the start line.

If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper/guide runner to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at [email protected]

Meeting Point Information

The start line will be situated on the grass area next to the Watersports Centre within Strathclyde Country Park.

If using what3words, enter ///branded.wrong.dimes in the free app, the find the exact starting point. The finish line will be across the loch, next the to Beach Car Park.

<strong>Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled <strong>as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day. There will be a variety of activities and stalls at the event, so remember to bring along some cash if you&#39;d like to get involved.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we&#39;re proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
