Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

How to Get There

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

There will be a limited amount of free parking for participants in Newlands, across Brickhill Street - just a few minute's walk from the start area. Please follow the temporary yellow signage to this event car park and then the footpath signs which will lead you to the event site. When this car park fills up, there will be space to park in the Willen Lake car parks, but please be aware that normal parking charges will apply.

Please car share where possible and consider using public transport.

Course Details

This course travels around the scenic and lively Willen Lake pathways, taking in grassland and woodland areas. There is plenty of variety and beautiful views around the course.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!

Please arrive 15 to 20mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

Whilst this event is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles, the event site is accessible for spectators with wheelchairs. There are blue badge holder parking spaces available in Willen Lake car park (charges apply) and the north bay car park is only around 100m from the start/finish area. If the grass is boggy from wet weather, there are paths all around the outside of the event site.

The meeting point and start line can be found in the centre of Moor Park. The finish line will also be within a similar vicinity.

Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
