The route starts and finishes in the Thornes Park playing fields and then goes around the field next to the skatepark, next it goes into the rugby field, down to the aviary and then back uphill to the former college site. From the former college site, the route crosses the top of the hill on grass and comes down a steep hill on grass, before heading around the amphitheatre. The route is undulating in parts and includes inclines and declines
