The Ultra Loop is an inclusive and flexible 8-hour running event with no limit on how far you can run. Within the 8 hours, you are encouraged to run as many loops as you can.
The mixed-terrain course combines gravel roads and light trails around a 6km loop and no matter how many loops you run, you receive a finishing time and medal.
The event takes place at Delamere Forest in Cheshire, UK where the route explores the winding woodland trails.

Course Details
The route is 6.02km kilometres across a range of terrain including gravel paths and trails. The course explores Delamere Forest and it's woodland trails, so we would recommend trail shoes.
The route starts with a challenging climb up to Old Pale Viewpoint, before heading down into the forest and around Blackmere Lake before looping back to the start.
The route is not on a closed course, so please consider that there may be walkers or dog walkers in the area.

Loved it! It's a great location and the hill adds a decent challenge. Really good atmosphere and the aid station was decent. I think it could have been improved if the route didn't in part follow the gruffalo trail as it was packed with kids and pushchairs and dogs. There's much quieter paths in the area which could have been used. If it had rained I think the lack of covered areas for crewing would have been an issue. I know the venue wouldn't budge on allowing entrant gazebos/tents but then the organiser then needs to bring extra gazebos to compensate. Maybe they would have if it was a bad forecast, I dunno. Thoroughly enjoyed it tho 👍👍
