Organiser's Description

The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.

How to Get There

Pedestrians: Please access the park on the South side (South lake) located off Stanborough Road.



General Event Parking:Parking will be available in the south and north Stanborough Park car parks. Please be aware that parking fees apply here and cameras will be in operation.



Please allow plenty of time to access the car parks as Stanborough Road will be closed from around 15 minutes prior to the start of the event and from this time, you will have to follow a long diversion to be able to access the car parks if approaching from the A1 (M)



Blue Badge Parking: Blue badge parking is availble in the South Lake carpark. Please speak to the Stewards who will direct you to the correct carparking area located next to the Boat lake.



Drop Offs: Drop off is availabe in both the North and South Carparks.



Bus: 601 Uno and 300 Arriva. 405 Uno



Train: Welwyn Garden City - 35min walk



Hatfield Station - 42 Min walk



Electric Charging points: No Electric Charging points are available at the event site. The nearest are located at Tesco Extra which is a 22 min walk to the park.



Cycling Bike Racks: There are no specific bike racks available at this venue.

Further Information

Due to the mixed terrain and a number of inclines and declines, this event is deemed unsuitable for wheelchair users. For 2024, we have had to change the course to incorporate the field above the north car park and splash park, which is particularly steep.



For spectators, there will be blue badge parking available in the south car park.
