Race the Sun 50km

Sat 1st June 2024

Aerial view of winding river surrounded by lush green trees and farmland. Several bridges span the river. The landscape extends into the distance with a mix of open fields, patches of forest, and scattered buildings under a clear blue sky. A serene forest scene with tall trees featuring a mix of green and autumnal foliage. Sunlight streams through the canopy, casting a gentle glow on the forest floor covered in fallen leaves. A fallen tree lies across the ground in the foreground. A fork in a gravel path surrounded by lush greenery under a clear blue sky. Tall signposts display directions for a public footpath, cycling routes, and walking trails. Trees are visible in the background, creating a serene natural setting. A colorful medal on a green fabric backdrop. The medal has an image of a setting sun and the text "RACE THE SUN 50 KM". The attached ribbon is orange and purple with the text "RACE THE SUN 50 KM" printed on it. Two runners, a man and a woman, are crossing a race finish line on a sunny day, holding hands and raising their other hand in celebration. Both wear running gear, bib numbers, and sunglasses. There's a cheering crowd, race banners, and a clear blue sky in the background. A collage of a racing event with runners starting under a red Racing Line Running arch, runners on the course, a man and woman mid-run waving, a group of three runners crossing a bridge, and a Racing Line Running shirt hanging from a tent.

Event was well organised and running path clearly marked throughout. Great scenery and marshals were fantastic. Personally, I'd feel more pumped having a crowd as at the end I struggled to keep myself entertained but I also presume crowds on ultra are not likely to happen in general. Great T Shirt and medal at the end. Thanks everyone!
