A stylized logo featuring the head of a ram with large, curling horns above the word "RAMSBURY" in bold, uppercase letters. The ram's head is black with white accents, creating a striking, minimalist design. A map illustrating an 8-kilometer trail loop near Ramsbury Brewery & Distillery. The path is marked in red with numbered waypoints at distances of 2, 4, 6, and 8 kilometers. The terrain appears to be rural with various small roads and places like Stock Lane depicted. A scenic rural path stretches ahead, bordered by lush green trees and grassy fields under a partly cloudy blue sky. The path is made of dirt and gravel, flanked by wooden fences. Outdoor scene of a brick building with "Ramsbury Brewing & Distilling Co." on the wall. Two black tents with a red banner reading "Racing Line Running" underneath. Tables hold jugs and bottles. Runners participate in an outdoor race on a sunny day, heading down a paved path lined with trees. Participants wear colorful attire, and race banners are visible along the route. One runner prominently wears a jersey with "Greggs 39" on the back.

Well organised event. Chip timed and with supportive marshals where needed and arrows everywhere else. A few (quiet) road sections but mainly narrow trails with stones and tree roots. Definitely one where decent trail shoes and experience counts, those who have only run road races would have struggled I think. Undulating throughout with Strava reckoning the hills were worth a minute a mile at my pace. Combine that with the underfoot conditions and the fact that it's 400m over distance, and you can easily add 10 minutes to your current best road time for a 10km. Great facilities, a nice medal and a free pint afterwards. Just expect a tough day out running in some stunning countryside.

Great trail race over demanding terrain - a good way to celebrate my 66th birthday (officially an old age pensioner, but growing old disgracefully). The stony underfoot conditions and hills made it a real challenge and I was glad of my trail shoes and the years of experience. At least two-thirds of the course was quite shaded, but the last section is very exposed. No issues with navigation; all of the marshals were in the right places and were very supportive, many seem to have posted pictures to capture our pain. There were also arrows in all the right places. I've done a couple of races now with self-service, sustainable drinks stations and they don't really work. Although I had my trail cup, it would have entailed stopping and getting someone to pour water from a large cannister so I ran on. If it is to be continued, there needs to be something to dip the cup into ready for our arrival. Not very hygienic though. Generally runners don't read the small print and either won't bring or don't have a suitable running cup so miss out (I got mine free with an Inov8 trail vest). I also don't recall anything saying that it was over-distance which came as a shock when I'd sped up at 9km only to pass the 10km marker on a random corner with no idea how much further we had to go. These are however minor quibbles and it was largely a successful inaugural event that deserves to continue.
