Great fun. The event was great fun but unfortunately they didn't have my name or details down on the list. Therefore, it took longer to collect my number. However, the route was well thought of, everyone was really friendly, the medals were good quality and the luxury hot chocolate at the end was fantastic! Whipped cream, sprinkles, mini eggs etc. I would definitely recommend it if you're after a fun run with a satisfying reward at the end.

Not 10k. I paid the extra to do 10k and the race was only just over 6k Very good intentions but not very well run. I have sent an email to the organiser but still haven’t had a response which is not very good.

Distance not as advertised. Great location and hot chocolate at the finish line was great with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate sauce, loads of various chocolate sweets available. HOWEVER, massive downfall and huge disappointment was that the route distance was not even 5k, let alone 10k! Signed up for the 10k as part of a virtual challenge, completed the route as set out and marshalled, those doing 10k had to do another lap, yet when got to the finish line to receive medal it was a let down to find out had only run 6.7km! (and that was doing the course twice) Once stopped and caught breath as really pushed it the last bit I couldn't carry on to complete the remaining distance as was too out of breath and lost momentum by this point. Lots of people there were using this as part of their marathon training and to come short by quite a lot was awful. Strava mapped the route as per route handed out so it wasn't that we made shortcuts or anything, it was down to the organizers not correctly mapping out the correct distance!

Good intentions but badly must measured course. A decent day and better organisation than had been reported at previous events, and families that ran the 5k together seemed to have a good time. However the 10k course was very badly measured, we crossed the finish line at 6.8k. Not expecting accuracy for a untimed fun run, but that's a huge distance to underrun by. The families that ran the 5k course seemed to have a good time, and the chocolate was decent, which is why I'm not giving it one star, but better to keep it as a 5k only event rather than tack on a badly measured 10k extension.
