Following the success of our Run for Nature events - we are hosting our fifth Run for Nature at Chester Zoo on Sunday 20th September 2026 helping us to raise vital funds to support our mission of preventing extinction.
Our 10K and 5K races will start off in the zoo and head out on the country lanes around our wider estate. This year, our routes will continue to have twice the distance through the zoo alongside the amazing species in our care! The Kids 1 Mile Zoom for the 4-15 year olds is all in the zoo.
Included in your registration fee is entry to the zoo for you to enjoy the rest of your day after the run and a 25% discount for your supporters too!
As a charity we rely on your support to be able to carry out our crucial conservation work, so we would love you to fundraise for us too. Every penny raised will help us to ensure nature can survive and thrive.
Our next Run for Nature is raising money towards protecting tigers, the largest big cats and among the biggest carnivorous land mammals on Earth.
We're committed to protecting tigers through our work with critically endangered tigers at the zoo, as well as our Living with Tigers project, which addresses habitat loss, illegal wildlife trade, and human-wildlife conflict in Nepal. A rise in tiger populations has led to increased competition for land and resources, resulting in dangerous encounters with local communities.
By taking part in Run for Nature this September, you’ll help protect these majestic animals and support the vital conservation work we deliver here at the Zoo and across the globe, so tigers can thrive for generations to come.
Anyone who takes part will get a Run for Nature 2026 medal and anyone who raises over £65 for our charity will receive a cuddly tiger plush toy, PLUS there are some great prizes for our top THREE individual fundraisers such as a family membership!
