Run Hawaii Five-0

Come & celebrate the BIG Hawaii Five-0 birthday of Allison Maybrey with a jaunt along the Thames! Allison (often known as the lovely fudge lady!) is celebrating a BIG birthday with us (not that we will disclose her age, but the clue may be in the title!).

Allison is running the Maui marathon in celebration so we have designed a fabulous Hawaiian themed medal and would love for runners to come dressed in your finest grass skirts, flower garlands and Hawaiian shirts!

We welcome runners (and walkers!) of all abilities and everyone who completes at least 1 lap will be rewarded with a medal!

There will be a distance pin for all runners who complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50km or Ultra in the 7hr time limit which can be attached to your medal ribbon. 

The aid station is at the start line and therefore available every 4.37 miles. The toilets are situated inside the Brewery. The Brewery will be open to runners and they do serve other items, including food as well as beer (including take-a-way beer cartons!). You can relax afterwards in their bar area and listen to their free 1970s Jukebox! 

The course is along the Thames River path and is flat and fast. It is a good quality path, with a couple of sections you run over grass with reinforcement in the soil to prevent it from becoming muddy. 

Minimum distance is 5km (we will have a 5km turnaround marker, part way through the 7km loop) or as far as you can go in 7 hours.

Distance & Time: This is a 7hr Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a full lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7hr time limit.

Course: The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required.

Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive our fantastic medal.

Mini-me Pin Medals: We have mini-me pin medals available for the first 50 entrants. If you collect our pins, make sure you're quick as they always sell out!

Distance Pins: We have distance pins for all runners who do a half-marathon or more. There will be a distance pin for all runners who complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50km or Ultra in the 7hr time limit which can be attached to your medal ribbon.

Goody Bag: Absolutely! You have earned these replacement calories after all, so all our finishers get a great goody bag. You will have a selection of goodies to choose from. As well as our standard goody bag, we have a vegan goody bag too. Please remember to let us know if you are vegan or if you prefer a vegan goody bag when you enter and we can have this ready for you.

Aid Table: We have managed to maintain our aid table throughout the pandemic with our COVID secure policies, approved by various SAG and Public Health teams across the UK. We have now returned to our full aid table selection, however we will serve you rather than a return to help yourself. You can rely on a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan selections at the aid table - great if you are running long distances.

Special Event: If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday!

Toilet & Changing Facilities: Toilets are available at the start / finish area inside the venue HQ. Changing facilities are available at this venue.

Parking: There is some limited free on-street parking in nearby roads which you should be able to park in. At the venue itself, there is a large public pay and display car park. You can also find cheaper parking if you arrange this online.

Other Info: There will be an area for kit bags to be left. This area is not watched and any bags left will be at the runner's own risk. Baggage areas are subject to COVID rule changes.
