My first half marathon was a really enjoyable event. Everything was really well organised, I got my number and tags through the post as promised, the emailed information was helpful and clear and the results were available impressively quickly. The event itself was well-organised and the helpers/marshall’s were committed and friendly. The bag drop worked well and there were plenty of toilets. The course was a joy, mainly around Tatton Park. Spectators were in clumps, so if you want constant cheering crowds this might not be for you, but the reception at the end was genuinely heart-warming and I felt slightly tearful as I finished! I’m a vegan runner, so it would have been nice had the goody bag snacks been vegan-friendly - most omnivores will happily scarf down vegan snacks! - or if there was a choice, though I know that would be harder. This is a fairly common issue for vegans who run, so I thought I should mention it. I was really glad that we were led pre-race in a minute’s silence to mark Remembrance Sunday. This could have been flagged up in the pre-race info. Thank you for a well organised, fun and very enjoyable race! I can’t imagine the effort that goes into making something like this work, but I really appreciate that you made it happen. Mark Gretton, Hull

Fantastic event and such a lovely setting for a half marathon. My wife was running in the middle of her treatment so we were right at the back but all the marshals were so supportive as we passed them. It made it great for us to have that support. Would recommend this race to anyone

It was a amazing route, Tatton park is so pretty and brilliant, the pacers were good there was good amount of information leading up to the race. The medal is big and amazing, and the free professional photos is a very nice way to finish off. There was only 1 'entertainment' (one guy on drumbs) along the way, which made it not such a fun race, all the other runs I've done there is a lot of entertainment which keeps your mind preoccupied so the run doesn't seem so bad, and after the race there was only one picture spot. That's a huge let down. After you I'd completed a half marathon I wanted to take all sorts of pictures but there simply wasn't any photo opportunities with backdrops or anything. Overall was a good run but there was a lot of missed opportunity.

Well run and I like the close knit feel. You had a lot of support at key parts of the event. However, I feel there could be a little something extra in the post race goodies.
