Three laps of the same circuit for the ten k (poor half marathon people had to do it six times!) which was a challenging route with a long uphill section. The start was a bit odd, the lady who started us was amazing, but the music wasn’t working and it all felt a bit awkward. At the finish I got given my medal by a really friendly and excited lady and that felt great but I felt like a criminal stealing a snack from a table that reminded me of a Christmas market craft fair where the man stood behind the table staring at me rather than offering my snack or saying well done, I wasn’t sure if I could take one if I’d it was something I was meant to buy. The people on the water table were much better and I stopped to have a chat with them! Finally the communication wasn’t great, I got an email on Tuesday with the race pack then nothing else the day before or on the day, and I haven’t had an email since the event either which I’d expect on the day to say well done and at least tell me when I’ll get my time or anything else. Overall I probably will do this event again just for the challenge of the hill and to see if I can improve my time.

Very well organised and all staff members were very friendly! The race course was clearly marked and the marshals were fantastic. I'd love to do this again!

I thought it was really poor. I won the 5 k race in under 17 minutes however I was completely ill informed about the two significant hills there that massively took away the time I was going for. There was no information In that regard. The course it self was open to the public so you had to weave in an out of people who were walking their dogs adding to the compromise of any potential pb’s. Paying £24 for this race and going through all the various travelling to get there I was expecting a lot better than this. Disappointing
