Organiser's Description

Join us for our Save The Rhino run, which is our main charity event for 2022.

Chris “Rhino Boy” Green will be running in his full Rhino costume.

The medal is awesome and a great one to collect, but more importantly we donate £3 of your entry to Save The Rhino charity.

We welcome runners and walkers of all abilities to our events.

How will it work?
We have a 5k, 10k, Half-Marathon, Marathon and Ultra-Marathon event running. The time limit for all events is 7hrs. If you enter a higher distance and on the day you decide to stop early, you can do..this makes the event super flexible for you as the choice is simply yours! As long as you complete at least 5k, which is part of our normal lap, you will get the medal and a great goody bag.

Course: The course is around the beautiful Lee Valley Country Park. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is flat and the surface is mainly high quality paths. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of our standard 7km (4.37mile lap).

Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive our fantastic Save The Rhino medal.

Distance Pins: We have distance pins for all runners who do a half-marathon or more. There will be a distance pin for all runners who complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50km or Ultra in the 7hr time limit which can be attached to your medal ribbon.

Goody Bag: Absolutely! You have earned these replacement calories after all, so all our finishers get a great goody bag. You will have a selection of goodies to choose from. As well as our standard goody bag, we have a vegan goody bag too. Please remember to let us know if you are vegan or if you prefer a vegan goody bag when you enter and we can have this ready for you.

Aid Table: We have managed to maintain our aid table throughout the pandemic with our COVID secure policies, approved by various SAG and Public Health teams across the UK. We have now returned to our full aid table selection, however we will serve you rather than a return to help yourself. You can rely on a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan selections at the aid table - great if you are running long distances.

Special Event: If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday!

Toilet & Changing Facilities: Toilets are available at the start / finish area inside the venue HQ. There are changing facilities available at the venue.

Parking: Your parking fee is included in your ticket price. For more info on parking see below.

Other Info: There will be an area for kit bags to be left. This area is not watched and any bags left will be at the runner's own risk. Baggage areas are subject to COVID rule changes.

Chip Timing: Yes - we will be operating a chip timing system at this event.

Loved it! My first marathon- clear route, excellent communication, positive atmosphere. Lee Valley park was a beautiful setting- and it felt very safe too. The ‘running rhinos’ were a bonus- encouraging all runners to keep going

I really enjoyed this race. This was the first race I have done with this organisation, and wasn't really sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well-organised it was. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The whole event had a really positive atmosphere. I'll be happy to do this event again next year if it's on.
