Event summary
Participants can choose between two exciting distances: a single lap for the Half Marathon and two scenic laps for the full Marathon. The route weaves through the charming streets of Stratford, past the racecourse, and into the beautiful areas of Luddington and Welford-on-Avon, before joining the tranquil Stratford Greenway footpath. With plenty of enthusiastic helpers along the way, each mile will be accurately marked to keep you motivated and on track. Runners can look forward to a stunning venue-themed medal, chip-timed results, free official event photographs, and delicious post-race refreshments. Both races kick off at 9:00 AM, and with a generous 6-hour cut-off time, there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy the journey to the finish line. Organiser's Description
Join us for this well established road closed Marathon and Half Marathon around Stratford-upon-avon. This year RunThrough have partnered up with Stratford Rotary Club to bring this event back to the town and surrounding area!
This flat and fast route, follows 1 lap for the half marathon and 2 laps for the marathon. The majority of the route follows closed roads around the town, with the remainder on the Stratford Greenway footpath, a hard compact footpath, ideal for pb racing!
The route heads from the town centre, past the racecourse, into Luddington & Welford-on-Avon before joining the Stratford Greenway back into Stratford-upon-Avon. The half marathon will head into the Recreation Ground from there. The marathon will complete a 2nd, extended loop, which also heads through Long Marston, before returning to the Recreation Ground for the finish.
