We are delighted to announce The South Downs Trail Run starting from Glorious Goodwood.
This ultimate trail run takes place in the South Downs National Park taking in spectacular views across the South Downs, and distant views of the North Downs, Chichester Harbour and the Isle of Wight.
The quiet scenic routes and stunning natural surroundings will overload your senses, making it one of the South’s must-do trail runs.
This well crafted off-road route will guide you from Goodwood along forest tracks, skirting Levin Down.
The middle section of the route takes you along the iconic South Downs Way before the rewarding downhill run back toward East Dean.
From here there is one final push up the hill to the finish at Goodwood.
The trails include a mixture of forest fire roads, bridleways and single track tree-lined trails, to keep you motivated and interested throughout.
With three route distances to choose from, there is a distance to cater for all abilities.
At the finish line you will receive a well-deserved high-quality metal medal, finisher’s gift and refreshing drink!

Great event, which was very well organised from start to finish. The marshal were great - thank you! I ran a Canicross event and totally respect and appreciate the need to manage our dogs to negate tripping up other runners but we all need to play our part. I did this and called out to runners in front to let them know I was passing but so many were oblivious/unable to hear me because they were wearing headphones or had earbuds in. We all need to play our part and some runners had no awareness of what was happening around them because of headphones etc. I am wondering if it might be an idea to ban headphones etc in the interests of health and safety. That aside, an amazing event and my dog had the time of his life!
