Get ready for an exciting day of running at the Summer Challenge Day 1, hosted by Running Events Devon! Join us on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the beautiful coastal town of Exmouth, Devon, for a thrilling event that caters to all abilities. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a beginner walker, you can participate in this inclusive event that features a scenic 5.3k out-and-back lap along an old disused train line.
With our unique 'TUGG' system, participants can turn up anytime between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM, giving you the flexibility to run at your own pace. You have a generous seven-hour window to complete as many laps as you can, making it possible to achieve a half marathon (4 laps), a full marathon (8 laps), or even an ultra distance by completing 9 or more laps. Everyone is a winner, and all finishers will receive a medal to commemorate their achievement. Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy a day of camaraderie and celebration. Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us.
This event is being held on the 27th June 2026.
We are operating our 'TUGG' system as in Turn Up Get Going, you can turn up any time between 7:30 and 14:30 BUT you have to be finished by 15:30.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line.
Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra.
