Join us for the exhilarating Summer Challenge Day 2, hosted by Running Events Devon, on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, in the beautiful coastal town of Exmouth, Devon. This exciting event welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities, offering a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while challenging yourself on a scenic 5.3k out-and-back route along an old disused train line. Participants have a generous 7 hours to complete as many laps as they can, making it the perfect event for everyone—whether you're a seasoned runner aiming for an ultra distance or a casual walker enjoying a leisurely day out.
With flexible race distances, you can choose to complete just one lap for a fun 5.3k, tackle four laps for a half marathon, eight laps for a full marathon, or aim for nine or more laps to achieve an ultra distance. Everyone is a winner at the Summer Challenge, as all finishers will receive a well-deserved medal to commemorate their achievement. Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us.
This event is being held on the 6th July 2025.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line.
Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra.
Please come and have a try and see how far you can go.
