Out-Fit Events presents Summit 2 Sea - The Offa's Dyke Half Marathon on Sunday 16th April 2023 in Prestatyn, Denbighshire. This exciting event will take runners on a 13.8-mile journey from the summit of Moel y Parc to the coast along the Offa's Dyke National Trail, finishing on the beach at Prestatyn. With two feed stations along the hilly course and the well-marked National Trail, participants can enjoy a challenging yet scenic route. Registration will be held at the finish point, the Prestatyn Nova Centre, where a bus will transport runners to the starting line in Bodfari. The event will be electronically timed, and finishers will receive a complimentary hot drink and event-specific finisher memento. Organiser's Description
From April 2023 - our S2S will be going 'Summit 2 Sea' - and the Half Marathon (ish - it's 13.8 miles) will see runners gather on the summit of Moel y Parc and follow the Offa's Dyke National Trail to the coast and finish line on the beach at Prestatyn.
There shall be 2 feed stations along the way of this hilly course and the National Trail is extremely well marked. Registration shall take place at the finish point - the Prestatyn Nova Centre, and a bus shall take all competitors to Bodfari before a 'warm up walk' of around 40 minutes takes us to the top and a quite unique start line!
The event shall be electronically timed for quick results and entry includes a complimentary hot drink at the Cafe at the finish, before a presentation recongises the event prize winners! Your entry fee also inlcudes bus transport to the start and your event-specific finisher memento.
It promises to be a great day on a beautiful route, and we hope that you can join us!
