Join us on 1ST of June 2024 for the first annual Sundowner Marathon!

taking place in the early evening you will run into the sunset around a unique course taking in coastal saltmarsh, canal towpaths, vineyards and forests completing two different loops which will bring you back to the start/finish at half way. this will serve as checkpoint two also allowing runners to access drop bags should they wish to do so.

Quality momento and bespoke beer! Prices kept at break even (if that!) to be inclusive to everyone at a time when race prices are spiralling.

RUNNERS UP WILL RECEIVE £25 WITH 3RD PLACE FINISHERS TAKING HOME £15 EACH.

SOMEWHERE ON THE COURSE THERE WILL BE A MARKED STRAVA SECTION (ROUGHLY A KM) WHOEVER RUNS THIS SEGMENT THE FASTEST (male AND female) WINS A SPECIAL PRIZE. THIS CANNOT BE WON BY ANYONE FINISHING IN THE TOP THREE IN EITHER CATORGORY.

WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED THE FOLLOWING DAY ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA. TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU WILL NEED TO JOIN OUR STRAVA PAGE, SEARCH 'TRAIL BOSS RUNNING' TO FIND US!

Course will be fully marked (by me) although I would strongly suggest either familiarizing yourself with the route or running with the GPX on the day.

checkpoints

THERE WILL BE three CHECKPOINTs spread across the route WHICH WILL BE WELL STOCKED, there will be vegan options and EVERYTHING WILL BE CLEARLY MARKED and kept separate. ANYONE WITH any additional SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS PLEASE NOTE ON YOUR ENTRY FORM and/or contact us directly. WE WILL CATER FOR EVERYONE.

Please note all our races are cupless.

NO CREWING OR PACING IS ALLOWED

Trails are for everyone so please respect other footpath users

Anyone seen littering will not be running with us again so please keep any rubbish with you.

KIT

Whilst we don't like to dictate to runners what they must carry during our races there are a couple of items that will be mandatory kit.

All runners will be expected to carry with them the mobile phone listed on your sign up, a head torch (min 250 lumens) and a backup alternative light source (not your mobile phone). as mentioned above our races are cupless so please bear that in mind also.

You will have the option to access dropbag at roughly 15 miles at HQ if you need to grab warm clothes/waterproof ect.

race briefing 5:45pm with the race kicking off at 6pm
race cutoff will be 12:30am giving runners 6 1/2 hours to complete the course
field limited to 50 runners for the first year
