Participants will kick off the day with a 50m swim in the main pool, where the water will be a brisk 21°C, making wetsuits advisable for a comfortable experience. After conquering the swim, competitors will tackle a run up to the iconic Devil’s Chimney on Leckhampton Hill, before returning to the Lido grounds for a triumphant finish. Not only is this event a fantastic personal or team challenge, but it also supports two wonderful charities, making every stroke and stride count. Organiser's Description
The Devil’s Aquathlon is a tough swimming and running challenge which raises funds for two charities and is designed for competitors aged 19 and above (or 17 and above for shorter swim distance) who enjoy a personal or team challenge. The heating to the main pool will have been turned off at the end of our summer season and the water temperature will have dropped to about 21C. Wetsuits are advisable but not mandatory.
The event starts with the swim in the 50m main pool and competitors then run up to the Devil’s Chimney on Leckhampton Hill, before returning to finish in the Lido grounds.
