The Rasselbock Run - Sherwood Pines - Spring
Mansfield, NottinghamshireNG21 9JH, Mansfield, United Kingdom
Sun 2nd April 2023
Starting at 09:00
We will be following all government and local guidelines at the time of the event. Obviously, the pandemic is evolving all the time so we will inform you about the exact guidelines that we will be using in our pre-race email that you'll receive 10 days before the event date.
You may attempt to complete as many laps as possible over the full six hours, or you may choose to finish just one, the choice is yours and you don't have to decide how far you're running until you're running!
The loop at Sherwood Pines is exactly 5.46km long which means if you complete 4 laps you have done a half marathon, 8 laps, a full marathon and 9 laps or more will be classed as an Ultra.
At Rasselbock we like to put on events how we'd like to have them. No stress, pressure, a great bunch of runners, and a small entry pool so everyone can meet each other. You can decide on the day how far you'd like to run so there are no worries if you're having a "bad running day". Just complete one lap of the event and you're classed as a finisher.
You'll receive your pre-race briefing via email roughly ten days before the event date that will be packed full of all of the information that you may need to know. The event will have full first aid supplied by Nottingham Search and Rescue.
- Full onsite first aid
- Bespoke medal
- Goody bag
- Fully signposted route
- Huge fully stocked aid staion at race HQ
- All the snacks and drinks that you could imagine
- Amazing support from Team Rasselbock and other runners
How to Get There
As always we encourage people to car share or use public transport as much as possible when coming to our events. Not only does this mean we help the environment a little but it also means that people get to know each other a little more and you can share the costs of petrol and the car park!
If you are looking for a lift or have space in your car, then make sure you post in our Team Rasselbock Facebook group to see who else is heading that way.
The route sets off from our own dedicated Race HQ area as we head into the forest weaving through the Pines. The route is on a mixed trail of forest floor, muddy areas, and packed gravel paths. Enough of a mix to keep the laps interesting. There are some hills included in the route for free, but nothing that you cannot manage.
