*100th event* The Rasselbock Run - Spring 2026 - Day Two

Sun 12th April 2026

A group of people runs through a forest with tall trees as sunlight filters through. The runners, wearing various athletic gear and backpacks, follow a path, heading towards the bright sun in the distance. Some runners have on hats and jackets, and the atmosphere seems brisk. Two people jogging on a forest trail, with sunlight streaming through the trees. The person in the foreground is wearing a purple and blue shirt and black shorts, while the person in the background is further ahead and slightly blurred. The scene is calm and serene. A person wearing colorful running shorts and a purple shirt runs along a gravel path through a forest. The sun filters through the trees, casting dappled light onto the pathway. The runner appears joyful and immersed in the natural surroundings. A person is riding a bike on a long, straight dirt path that cuts through a dense forest. Sunlight filters through the trees casting dappled shadows on the road. The scene appears serene and the path stretches off into the distance. A man in a black outfit and beanie jumps excitedly mid-air on a forest trail, raising his hands high. Beside him, a smiling woman in a black jacket and bright blue leggings jogs. Another runner follows in the distance. Trees and foliage surround the path. A group of people jogs along a tree-lined trail in a forest on a clear day. Sunlight filters through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the path. The joggers wear athletic clothing, with one person in a blue shirt leading the way. Three people are jogging on a forest trail during sunrise. The light filters through the trees, casting long shadows on the ground. Two of them are in dark clothing and one is in a teal top, and they run in the same direction, surrounded by tall, bare trees. A group of people, seen from the back, run along a dirt trail through a forest. The tall trees on either side of the path have sparse leaves, indicating late autumn or early winter. The runners are spaced out, with some further along the trail and others closer to the front. Two runners in turquoise shirts celebrate while running a race on a forested trail in the morning sunlight. They hold hands and raise their arms in joy. Other runners are seen behind them on the same path. The scene is bright and filled with energy. A smiling man wearing a yellow shirt, blue shorts, a cap, and a hydration pack is running joyfully on a forest trail. His bib number is 76 and his arms are outstretched. The background includes another runner in the distance and a pathway bordered by greenery.

Organiser's Description

This page is for day TWO of the weekend event!

We're not sure how this happened, but this will be our 100th physical event and it's fallen right back where we started ... Sherwood Pines. Well, the Sunday event will be the 101st, but we're doubling up and making a weekend out of it.

In celebration, we're hosting a bit of a party and inviting all the other businesses and companies that we have worked with over the five years. You can expect: food, coffee, a mega aid station, stalls, shops, entertainment and more. We'll pull out all of the stops and make this the biggest and best celebration that we can because we just love doing that.

You may attempt to complete as many laps as possible over the full six hours, or you may choose to finish just one, the choice is yours and you don't have to decide how far you're running until you're running!

If you complete 4 laps you have covered a half marathon, 8 laps, a full marathon and 9 laps or more will be classed as an Ultra.

At Rasselbock we like to put on events how we'd like to have them. No stress, pressure, a great bunch of runners, and a small entry pool so everyone can meet each other. You can decide on the day how far you'd like to run so there are no worries if you're having a "bad running day". Just complete one lap of the event and you're classed as a finisher.

No set distance, just go!

Yet another amazing event. So well organised. Best volunteers cheering you on and let’s not forget the handmade medals! Honestly best medal I’ve ever been given. I’ll be back.

What a brilliant event. Very well organised and extremely friendly. Erik (organiser) was super helpful from start (at point of booking) to finish. There was ample snacks and drinks around for people to help themselves. My little girl was with me to come and support my running family members and she ended up with a yellow tabard on, helping 'officiate' , she had a great time. We've not done many events before but would definately seek out a Rasselbock again. Thanks to Erik and the team for a lovely experience.

What an amazing event for my first organised run! I arrived and saw people of all ages, races, shapes and sizes it really is open to anyone from your weekend warrior to your hardened ultra runner. Registration was easy, course well marked out, the staff very encouraging with their cheers. If I had to raise one negative it would be the distances, the advert claimed that 8 laps was a marathon, when in face 8 laps it’s just shy of 29 miles!! Cannot fault the people, the course, the food and drink and of course the lovely medal that was in keeping with the event. I’m looking to run this again next year to see if I can beat 8 laps 🤞

Very impressed with the communication, organisation and the course. The atmosphere and camaraderie between runners was fantastic and for me so much better than a road run. Looking forward to doing another. Thank you to all the volunteers who were fantastic as well
