Organiser's Description

The perfect event if you're looking to get in those training miles for a Spring Half Marathon or Marathon. Our 10 Mile & 20 Mile event takes place in the beautiful surroundings of the Mapledurham Estate, a few miles from the edge of Reading.

We have a lovely multi terrain 10 mile course for you, starting and finishing by the Thames near the famous watermill and legendary sites from The Eagle Has Landed. One lap or two laps for the 10 Mile & 20 Mile of course.

The course uses trails & roads within the Estate, local woodlands and footpaths. The trails could be firm and fast if we have dry weather in the build up or, as in 2023, they could be a true trail running test & muddy if we get wet weather. As with all trail running, expect a bit of everything.

What a lovely course. Scenic with some good elevation and a mix of trail and 'road'. The person at the finish line was very enthusiastic and cheered me over the finish line. Will definitely run this one again!

The 20 miles race was good, but be prepared to get really muddy on wet days!!! Enjoy

Very well-organised race. Lots of friendly marshals and clear signposting throughout the course. The route was very pretty, mostly on muddy trails and very quiet country roads. I’ve docked half a star because the race came in a bit short of 20 miles according to my Garmin (and other people’s too!). I would definitely recommend this race.

The course is great and very well organised and marshalled. Off course facilities could have been better e.g one male toilet cubicle which was broken
