Welsh 1000m Peaks Race

Llanberis, Caernarfon, Snowdonia

Llanberis, Caernarfon, UK

Sat 1st June 2019

Organiser's Description

The Original, unique, Welsh 1000m Peaks Race, conquering Snowdonia’s 1000m peaks, is now in its 47th year! This event takes place over some of the most rugged terrain in Britain. The long course starts at sea level and after crossing the windswept wilderness of the Carneddau and the rocky moonscape of the Glyderau, it finishes on Mt Snowdon, having taken in the five peaks of Snowdonia and exceeding one vertical kilometre.

Are you ready to face this gruelling challenge which, at 30k and 2500m of climb is a tremendous test of strength, endurance and navigational skills? If you're not sure, we have the shorter 'half' route starting in the Ogwen valley and visiting three 1000m peaks.
