I run Wendover Woods Marathon yesterday. What a fantastic event that was, so well organised.Organisers were very nice and full of support, Marshals were amazing, helpful and very supportive as well , and we had even RAF personel supporting us. Thank you to you all.
I would run this event again.

This was my first ever marathon with only 3 months practice and at 16 stone this was seriously challenging. I tracked 980m elevation and there are some really steep hills that just go on forever. The downhills are steep aswell and of course, it was wet and muddy so for a first marathon it was absolute hell. But I can honestly say, it was so well ran, the volunteers were absolutely amazing. Loads of drinks and snacks avaliable. In particular a volunteer called alf was running at the tail making sure we were OK and he was simply fantastic. After 20k I lost faith almost altogether and he really helped me get it back. Brilliant event with equally brilliant organisation with stunning scenery.
