JOIN US FOR THE WIMBLEDON CHRISTMAS RUN

This picturesque course takes you running through the stunning grounds of Wimbledon Common to cover the 5k & 10k distances. Each kilometre is accurately marked out with sign posts and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.

Course Details

We will have a lead bike and marshals all around the course as well as mile signs and arrows. The course is two big laps of the outskirts and inside the park.

There WILL be pedestrians on the course, so please be aware of this. We have marshals around the course and signs but this is not a road race, you have to pay very close attention to where you are going. We recommend you do not use earphones and you need to be aware of your surroundings.

Please familiarise yourself with it before you start, there is a mixture of trail paths, well trodden pathway, and grass. The course itself has a few long stretches where there may be lots of pedestrians and by then the race will have spread out, all you need to do is run straight, if you have to turn anywhere there WILL be signage and tape or/and marshals.

We will have have portable toilets, if you think you’re going to be using the loos please give yourself plenty of time.

Lots of fun, but a bit wet and muddy. I did this race with my sister and the atmosphere was very festive! As it was all through the common it was really lovely and scenic. I did the 10 K which meant it was a double lap of the 5K race, which was good because you could easily gage how far you had left on your second lap. It had rained a lot the day before so unfortunately a lot of the path had big muddy puddles. This created a bit of a hold up at the start, but by the end you just had to run through them! Bring some extra dry socks and shoes for this one!

Badly organised. Bad weather meant the course was very muddy, which can’t be helped, but it was REALLY bad and I think it should have been rescheduled. We were running in roads with moving and parked cars and on footpaths with walkers. It didn’t seem like any part of the park had been closed to accommodate a lot of people running a race. The start was not staggered so we were running in a crowd for a whole 5k of the 10k race we did. It just seemed really badly organised. I trained for 2 months and achieved my slowest pace ever during the race because of the conditions so I was really disappointed. Won’t be signing up to this again.

A well organised event. Had a great time in the winter run at Wimbledon. Well planned and good organisation.
