Organiser's Description

WORLD DOG DAY CHARITY RUN
Date of Challenge: 26th August 2024

Calling all dog lovers! We are pleased to introduce our brand new charity run to celebrate World Dog Day on 26th August 2024.

An estimated 11 million adults in the UK own a dog which shows just how much dogs are loved.

Here are some amazing facts about dogs: Dogs smells are 40x better than humans. They can even smell diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Dogs can sniff at the same time as breathing. Dogs don’t sweat like humans do. Sweat ducts in dogs’ paws are activated when it is too hot and helps to keep their body temperature cool. Because of dogs’ “sweaty feet”, they leave wet footprints. Dogs have three eyelids. Along with their noses, dog’s hearing are super sensitive. Dogs have 18 muscles controlling their ears.

We are proud to support Dogs Trust with their work by donating 10% of all race entry fees.
