Course Description

The summer course is 2 and ⅓ laps of mixed terrain, starting on grass in the middle field of Spiceball park. It covers grass, tarmac and trail as it follows the main path around the park in an anti-clockwise direction. The course starts with a short section (⅓ of a lap) round to the finish straight entrance, then from this point, continuing on the main path for two full laps, crossing a bridge on both laps to run on the east side of the park round two grass islands. When reaching the finish straight entrance for the third time, it's a sprint to the end to complete the 5km's.

There are two car parks attached to the park, one is a large pay and display and the other is free but has limited parking. There are also numerous pay and display/multi storey car parks within walking distance of the park. The closest toilets are 5 minutes walk from the start line in the local leisure centre or Cafe Red along the canal. There is a childrens play area situated at the south side of the park next to the pay and display car park.
