Really didnt enjoy this race. The route itself is not the problem. Its a good, and slightly challenging course. However I did this race last year where we had free parking. This year we had to pay £11 for parking and took 35 minutes to get off the car park. And as I was there for so long, at the barriers they requested £4 more! The run though was the worse part. The way the 10k runners are released into the path of the half marathon needs to be addressed. I had so many arguments with people trying to get through everyone on such a narrow path. And on the blind corners, I ran into a guy and knocked him to the floor as the general public got in the way too much. Won't do this race next year. Such a shame

I really loved the 10k course around the trails of Cannock Chase, shame that I probably won’t do it again (see below). Fair to say it’s an undulating course on trails, which can be a bit narrow at times (on some out and back sections) and one particularly vicious hill at the 4km / 9km point. A well organised event with good facilities for participants and spectators alike. Only downsides are the extortionate parking charge, and chaotic pay as you leave system. No discount on the visitor centre parking charges for runners or supporters. £11.50 for just over 2 hours is an absolute disgrace. Many people will have run this or the half marathon for charity, and have had to pay huge parking fees themselves. The least the Cannock Chase Visitor Centre should have done is offer a substantial discount to parking on the day. This exploitative rip off would be enough for me to give this event a miss in future.

The run was great fun, this was my second year doing the 10km and I really enjoyed it. The Marshalls, volunteers and organizers were fantastic. However, it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to get out of the car park this was absolutely ridiculous there was no staff helping, two members of the public were great and finally got the traffic sort of moving if it wasn't for them we'd still be stuck there now. It was complete chaos and really put it downer on the event.

Really well organised and a beautiful scenic route. A little challenging in parts but a great atmosphere will definitely do again!

We ran with our running team who are young adults with Disabilities, Autism and SEND. They all achieved more than they thought which was amazing, a great run to do with them, friendly, supportive and accessible for us at Liberty Jamboree. Amazing

Really good intro to Trail running - this was my first non road run. I have plenty of experience running half marathons but this was a completely different experience. I found it challenging at times but great fun. I am a nature lover so this suited me perfectly and it was very well organised so I didn’t feel stressed at the start trying to get my number. However please be aware that dogs are allowed to be walked throughout the course though as it always takes place on a Sunday and the half marathon starts at 9am, most of the dog walkers don’t became apparent until well into the run.

I was initially worried about doing the 10k as Cannock Chase is notoriously hilly. However, the route was absolutely gorgeous and though undulating, not at all the big hills I was expecting. The way they mapped the route was great and the organisation and team were just so wonderful abd supportive. Event Village was large and toilets onside too. Another great event!!
