Loved the warm up at the start and the signs were super clear. There’s one hill and it’s super short so overall quite a flat course! Was my first 5k race and would recommend this to other beginners.

WOW - So I gave up smoking in September 2024. I Joined a Parkrun and slowly got a little fitter. I had only completed 2 previous 10k runs on my own and this entry into the 10k Chepstow race was always going to be a challenge. I was in V50 category and what can I say. The event was extremely well organised. Ample parking sign posted very well. Venue was excellent. The course was challenging with up and down climbs and descents. I received my race pack in plenty of time with easy to read instructions. So race morning was very simple. Turn up and race. Start line was split into times so predicted finish times faster at the front. Then go go go the race was on. I broke my PB and that was enough. A time of 51 minutes in brutal weather conditions was a massive buzz. The food stands amazing. The coffee and tea etc stalls brilliant. Overall this event is brilliant for beginners and seasoned runners alike. Thank you. @sentryrider

Really fantastic parking availability, and well organised with all the volunteers helping out. I thought the move from warm up to start the race was a bit fast, and just not how I'm used to starting these things. Course itself was good fun in the rain, but I wouldn't necessarily say this is a track for a PB due to the hilly nature of the course. Will definitely run this again.

Staff were quick and very helpful. Easy parking and organised for the start. Course is marked well and easy going under foot. Top marks. All four of us running together were happy with our times for the half. Thank you.

Good course, a little uneven under foot in places with potholes and adverse camber. Final km with the u-turn is narrow and can get crowded Plenty of elevation changes with one steep hill between 3-4km. Managed a PB, so overall a good day out!

I’ve done the 10k twice. The organisation is very good, warm up before start. Good commentary. It’s a 2 loop course for the 10k and I think it’s a challenging route. Mostly paved paths but changes of terrain to sand/gravel/matting. Quite hilly so I think it’s a tough run. Parking excellent. Toilets fine, water at halfway point and at end and a couple of ‘snacks’ at finish.

There was a lovely friendly atmosphere which was a real positive. There could have been better signage and the toilet provision was woefully inadequate. The run itself was a straightforward route. It's hilly and challenging. Overall I enjoyed, as did my husband and son who ran the 5K. Would I do it again? Not sure due to the unexpected terrain and the toilet situation.

This was my first ever 5k race, the team were very friendly and helpful. The course itself was challenging and well laid out. Definitely will do it again.

If the weather is hot (30C) like this summer then the organisers need to provide water stations from 2k onwards. And ideally water sprays should be set up too.

Completed the half marathon. Very well organized, the MC was very good through out the day, lovely medals and post run energy snacks. Route and distance markers well planned, everyone very friendly. Photographs very good and free to see (makes a change!). Great event on a very hot day.
