Other Information

Race Numbers

All pre-entries will be assigned a number and you will be emailed to notify you of this the week of the event. To collect them you need to make your way down to the numbers desk between 7:30am – 8:45am.

The roads and surrounding roads will be closed from 9.00am so please don’t arrive late - give yourselves plenty of time. The earlier you get there, the more efficient we will be on the day. You will only need one number attached to the front of your shirt, if you have your own pins then that would be great but we will have supplies if needed. Your timing chip will also be in the envelope, this needs to be attached to your shoe as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number on at all times during the race. At the finish you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).

We will have portaloos in the event village.

All runners will get a complimentary flapjack and fruit. We will have a range of food vendors there on the day so you can grab a snack post race so bring some change.

During the race

The race will be lead by an individual on a bike and a lead car. The course is all on road with a short section of gravel at the start/finish. We will have marshals around the course so you can’t go wrong.

We have full road closures for the event and all our marshals and traffic management team have been fully briefed.

There will be a water station at 5k and at the finish.

The start and finish will be easily accessible for anyone wanting to come and watch the event. We have plenty of parking. Arley Hall is beautiful and will be well worth a walk around afterwards.

Medal & T-Shirts

You’ll be able to collect your medal and t-shirt at the end once you have finished the race.

Results will be available on after the race.

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be up on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.

If you are running for a charity, or are raising money for a charity please could you email us the details so we can share the information to people. [email protected] with your Name, Charity, a link to your online fundraising page & maybe a sentence or two on why you are raising money for this cause. Also if you have any pictures of yourself that would be great to send over.

Race Data, Insight & Analysis
  • The Cheshire 10k is a very fast race that's popular with both beginners and Club Runners - in the last edition of the race 51% were Club runners, and the average finish time was more 10 minutes faster than the average UK finish time for a 10k race. Here’s the supporting evidence and more detail of how it compares to other Half Marathons:

  • 44:03 Average Finish Time for men at this event

  • 54:15 Average Finish Time for women at this event

Sadly victim to flooding. Sadly this event didnt take place. It was out of the control of the organisers due to 48 hours of non stop heavy rain and flooding prior to the event ( on the Thursday before the saturday). The organisers did all they could and an excellent job to keep runners updated -alert email on the Thursday afternoon with a promise of an update, which happened, the following day on Friday. A text alert re the cancellation was also sent on the Friday. The organisers made it very clear what options runners were being given: transfer to the Cheshire 10k in March; transfer to other local runs; or a full refund. Forms were attached for runners to inform the organisers of their wishes, with a request date by 15 November. All very clear. It was sad that it couldn't take place but was the right and only decision that had to be taken. I have attended many run through events before and they have always been great events and well organised. I attended the spring Cheshire 10k this year and loved it. A PB course for me. I will look forward to running the Cheshire 10k in March. Sad but out of everyone's control. I felt sorry for the organisers and couldnt fault them on their communication and decision. Looking forward to spring! Until then I shall keep running and racing! Not sure if this is a run review you wanted but thought I'd write it so you'd know how organisers handle it when it goes wrong.
Thanks for the review, the runthrough team will appreciate your feedback!

Wonderful race and amazing atmosphere. I absolutely loved this event. It was just perfectly organised from start to finish. I love Run Through events and cannot wait for the next one!

Fast, flat and well organised. This route is mostly flat and takes you through the grounds of Arley Hall and the surrounding roads (these are closed off for the race). It’s a great opportunity you wouldn’t normally be able to experience! The event was well organised and included a warm up before everyone was lined up in predicted time blocks. Great support from marshals and staff, and a great day for it over all.
