A densely forested area with mist rolling over the treetops serves as the background. The text reads, "THE ULTIMATE RUNNING SERIES" and features a logo with runners and the words "Defeat Delamere" presented by the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Organiser's Description

Join us at Defeat Delamere this September and enjoy the thrill of running through the gorgeous woodland site, over winding gravel paths, pushing yourself through the mixture of inclines dotted around the route.

There will be a mass group warm up before you take to the starting line. Each distance will set off separately and runners will be called to the start line by an official MC.

The courses are signposted and well marshalled and cover stunning views of the forest. As this is a trail run, runners can potentially expect mixed terrain, hills, loose surfaces and exposed tree roots – all adding to the thrill of the chase.

You can collect your race pack including race number and timing chip at the registration tent set within the charity village. Registration opens at 8.30am. Please note the mini miler will not be chip timed.

You must be 16 or older for the 16k. Those 15 and over can take on the 10k and 14 or over to sign up for the 5k. The mini-miler is open to ages 3 or over, or running buggies.
Race times are as follows:
09:30am - 16km / 09:45 - 10km / 10:00 - 5km / 10:05 - mini miler

Loved this event! Big hill at the start that killed me, but after that the course was fantastic!

Challenging course and stunning location to run and banish the autumn blues. Not 5 * due to no warm up, lack of volunteers and.number of people on the course making some parts quite dangerous.
