With registration opening at 8:30 AM and a mass start at 10:00 AM, you can take your time to devise your strategy and choose your route, with distances varying from 3km to 8km based on the checkpoints you visit. Solo runners and teams of up to four are welcome, and don’t forget to bring your furry friends along, as Canicross runners are encouraged to join in for free! Organiser's Description
1 hour Mini Trail Run – £14, £18 OTD – Trail Run only, using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many of the 10 clip style checkpoints as possible in 1 hour. This event is ideal for families with children up to the age of 16, and for those who want to improve their navigation and/or trail running skills. The CPs are located much closer to one another than in the other events. Unlike the other events, this is not a race, so there are no prizes for those collecting the most CPs.
Canicross runners are most welcome - dogs go for free!
You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited; it can be anything from 3km to around 8km, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, and on your running and map reading skills.
