Join Tri-Adventure for the Effingham 1h Mini Trail Adventure Race on Sunday 22nd March 2020 in Leatherhead, Surrey. This 1-hour Mini Trail Run is a fun and challenging event where participants use a waterproof map to navigate to as many of the 10 clip style checkpoints as possible. Ideal for families with children up to the age of 16, this event is perfect for those looking to improve their navigation and trail running skills. Canicross runners are also welcome, with dogs able to join for free. With distances ranging from 3km to around 8km, participants can choose how many checkpoints they want to visit, making it suitable for all fitness levels. Organiser's Description
1 hour Mini Trail Run – £14, £18 OTD – Trail Run only, using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many of the 10 clip style checkpoints as possible in 1 hour. This event is ideal for families with children up to the age of 16, and for those who want to improve their navigation and/or trail running skills. The CPs are located much closer to one another than in the other events. Unlike the other events, this is not a race, so there are no prizes for those collecting the most CPs.
Canicross runners are most welcome - dogs go for free!
You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited; it can be anything from 3km to around 8km, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, and on your running and map reading skills.
Registration opens at 8.30am to give competitors time to plan their strategy and routes.
Solo entries as well as teams of up to four are welcome.
There is a Mass Start at 10.00am.
