Event Overview:
The Gosport Golden Mile returns for another year and we're looking forward to welcoming athletes of all ages, sizes and abilities. Test yourself against the best on this pancake flat, point to point one mile course along the promenade in Gosport. We host a senior race and the Junior Golden Mile.
If you have enough energy left, why not try your luck in the Gosport Golden 5k that follows the Golden Mile? The 5km race is a popular race on the running calendar, a fast and an exhilarating flat, out and back dash along the promenade.

Course Details:
The Gosport Golden Mile and the Junior Golden Mile start from a point close to the Inshore Lifeboat Station, Lifeboat Lane, Stokes Bay PO12 2TR.
The route covers a measured 1 mile route finishing close to The Bayside Cabin Café.
The Gosport 5k will start from a point close to the Bayside Cabin Café and cover an out and back route along the promenade, onto a country path around Fort Gilkicker before returning to the start. A very short section of the route is on a shingle pathway, but this is only a few metres.

Senior 1 Mile / Junior 1 Mile / Golden mile + 5k / 5k

09:30 - Junior Mile race starts
09:35 - First finishers expected
10:00 - Senior Mile race starts
10:20 - Last finishers expected
10:45 - 5k race starts

Bespoke Medal for all finishers
Cash Prize for winners of Golden Mile (£75 for 1st £50 for 2nd & £25 for 3rd) 
Bonus £100 for breaking the course record!
Prizes for leading schools and clubs.
A generous selection of Golden Envelopes donated by various businesses in the Gosport area which all include crisp £10 note!
