Channel Events is excited to announce the return of the Mendip Murmuration event on Saturday 23rd June 2018 in Bristol, Somerset. This off-road cycling event is part of 'The Triple', a series of Somerset-based cycling events, and will be held as part of the 'Top of the Gorge' festival in collaboration with The National Trust and The Mendip Hills AONB service. Cyclists can choose from 20 mile and 30/35 mile routes that take them through the stunning landscapes of Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak, Black Down, and Rowberrow Warren. With limestone rock gardens, flowing single tracks, wide open hilltops, and forest trails, participants are sure to have an unforgettable experience exploring the best the Mendips have to offer. Organiser's Description
Following a successful first year, we are returning to Cheddar in 2018, solidifying this event as one of our three Somerset-based off-road cycling events, now known as 'The Triple’. We are working with The National Trust and The Mendip Hills AONB service to make this great event part of the ‘Top of the Gorge’ festival.
This is a gathering of like minded individuals coming together with a common purpose: riding a bike through Somerset’s stunning landscapes. Cruising and carving over and around Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak, Black Down and Rowberrow Warren will make for amazing 20 mile and 30/35 mile routes that will leave you wanting more. Limestone rock gardens, flowing single tracks, wide open hill tops with stunning views, and cracking forest trails show you the best the Mendips have to offer.
