2026 sprint distance swim course
Start with a beginner friendly 400m swim in the beautiful Capability Brown designed lake. With a trickle start, competitors will enter the water in pairs and complete one lap of the course.

2026 sprint distance bike course
Distance - 23km
Total elevation -181m
Road types and conditions - Mostly minor roads. Road surfaces are good.
Bike choices - Suitable for all types of bikes
The bike course is mostly flat and fast, so great for both beginners and speed merchants looking to blitz a great bike time. The route heads out towards the Edge Hill escarpment before turning left towards Burton Dassett. Another left turn takes you up to Gaydon where you turn left again and head back to the finish via Kineton.

2026 sprint distance run course
Distance - 5km
Total elevation -75m
The run is mostly off road on grass and tracks. The paths are firm underfoot, so trail shoes or road shoes should be fine
The race will finish with a 5km run on tracks and trails in and around the Compton Verney hamlet. This multi-terrain course has it all. Just the right amount of flats and hills to challenge you but also to make the most of the beautiful local scenery. The undulating course through meadows and woodlands will eventually bring you to the finish line in front of the beautiful tree-lined lake.

2026 middle distance swim course
Start with a 1900m swim in the beautiful Capability Brown designed lake. With a trickle start, competitors will enter the water in pairs and complete two laps of the course.

2026 middle distance bike course
A course with something for everyone. Flat sections for the time triallers and some cheeky climbs for the mountain goats! The ride will take you through the picturesque Warwickshire countryside and include some climbs and descents on the Edge Hill escarpment, including the infamous Edge Hill itself before returning to Park Farm.
Distance - 90 kilometres
Total elevation -888m
Road types and conditions - mostly minor roads. Road surfaces are good
Bike choices - suitable for TT and road bikes

2026 middle distance run course
The race will finish with a 21.1 kilometre run on tracks and trails in and around Park Farm and the Compton Verney hamlet. This multi-terrain course has it all. Just the right amount of flats and hills to challenge you but also to make the most of the beautiful local scenery. The undulating course through meadows and woodlands will eventually bring you to the finish line in front of the beautiful tree-lined lake.

Athlete guide will be emailed the week before the event with details of online briefing.  Event pack, including chip, swim hat and numbers will be collected at registration.

Free parking, aid stations on bike and run, medal and other item for finishers.

Where is the start and finish of the race?
The race starts and finishes at Park Farm, Compton Verney in Warwickshire. The postcode for the venue's car park will be issued nearer to the time of the event (what3words locator is: ///boast.departure.guises).

Is the course flat or hilly?
A mixture! The bike route is mostly flat with a hill at the start and end (elevation 181m). The run route has just the right amount of hills and flats to challenge you. A map of the routes will be featured at: www.do3.co.uk/compton-verney-sprint-triathlon

Is there signage on the route?
Yes, there will signage all the way around the bike and run routes.

Can I cancel my place?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds. What we are able to do is be super flexible if something is preventing you from racing. You can either swap to the shorter sprint event, swap to a relay entry, defer your place until the next year (not available if you are within 28 days of race day), or transfer your place to someone else (not available if you are within 14 days of race day). If you wish to take up one of these options, please email enquiries@mg.do3.co.uk.

Is my entry transferable to a friend?
Yes, it is. Please email your request through to enquiries@do3.co.uk

Can I change my individual entry to a relay entry?
Yes you can, please email your request through to enquiries@do3.co.uk as there may be an additional charge to cover costs.

Can I change my relay entry to an individual entry?
Yes you can, please email us at enquiries@do3.co.uk

Can I change the members in my relay team?
Yes, you can. Changes can be made up to 7 days before the event. Please email enquiries@do3.co.uk with the old team members’ names as well as the new team members’ names and we’ll organise this for you.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit?
We follow the temperature guidance set by British Triathlon. It is expected that, as with most races, the majority of participants will choose to wear a wetsuit if water temperature allows.

Can I camp on the event site?
We are hoping to be able to offer on-site camping. More information will be available soon.

How will I receive my race pack and when will it arrive?
Your race guide will be sent to you via email. The race pack containing your number, chip, swim hat etc will be picked up at registration.

Can I request a wave start so I race with my friends?
Please email your request through to enquiries@do3.co.uk and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Racers will enter the water according to their swim speed, with faster swimmers going first.

When can I register?
Ideally you need to register the night before your race. The opening times for the registration desk will be confirmed closer to event day. If you are a British Triathlon member you must show your BTF card at registration. If you’re participating as part of a relay team only one member of the team needs to register but s/he must bring BTF cards for each team member where applicable and pay the day licence fee for any non-BTF members in the team. If you paid the non-BTF rate for your entry, then you have already paid for the day licence as part of your race fee.

Will I need trail shoes if the run is mostly off-road?
Some of the run course will be run on public footpaths and trails. Whilst you may like off-road shoes for this section, most entrants will be wearing regular running or racing trainers. If it has been dry then regular running trainers will be fine. If it has been very wet for a prolonged period it could be muddy in parts.

Can I train on the run course before the race?
Parts of the route are on privately owned land, to which there is no access prior to race day. However, much of the route is on public rights of way, so can be used for training. Please note that there is no parking at Park Farm, except for registration during the evening of Friday 21st July, and during the events on Saturday 22nd July and Sunday 23rd July.

Are there changing and transition tents?
Unfortunately not. You should keep all of your race equipment at your racking point. You should only bring one small bag to keep at the racking point and leave all other belongings in your vehicle, or with your support team. There will be no bag drop/area.

Are there cut-off times for each section?
There are no cut off times for the Compton Verney Sprint Triathlon.

Can I use headphones?
No, in line with British Triathlon rules headphones and bone conducting head sets are not permitted.

Are there food and hydration stations on the run and bike courses?
For the sprint race you will need to carry any nutrition and hydration.
There will also be a catering stand(s) offering food and drink after the event.

Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs on a lead will be welcomed. Please ensure that any mess is bagged and binned.
