Pendine Sands, Carmarthen, UKSun 14th April 2024
Starting at 10:00
Organiser's Description
All of these races are Cup-Free, so please bring your own re-useable cup (available in our store).
Half Marathon details:
The half marathon event is a single loop, running the full length of the beach and then returning on quiet lanes back to the start
10km and 5km details:
An out and back along the beach, turning at a point where a race marshal holds a flag.
You may think that running on the sand will be extremely difficult, but at Pendine the sands are home to the land speed record attempts made famous by the Blue Bird car. This means that generally the sand underfoot is quite firm and absolutely perfect for running on, especially for barefoot running.
Start times:
Please note – exact race start times will be notified nearer the event date, as we are governed by tide-tables which are provided to us by the Pendine Beach Warden.
