As the second event in the 2025 Icebird four-race series, runners who complete all four races will earn a coveted MEGA-Firebird / Icebird medal at the Year End event. With a uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start time within a one-hour window, there's no need to feel rushed or anxious about your arrival. Plus, with an accurately measured and UKA certified route that features a fast and flat terrain along the riverside towpath, this event is perfect for both seasoned marathoners and enthusiastic newcomers. Organiser's Description

Phoenix Running is delighted to invite you to our Summer Marathon and Half Marathon event.

This is a beautiful low key jaunt along the River Thames from Walton on Thames towards Hampton Court and back. Runners complete either 4 or 8 laps for the half marathon or marathon distance.

This is the second event in our 2025 Icebird four-race series. The final two events are the Riverside and Year End Half Marathons / Marathons. Those who complete all four races in the series will receive a MEGA-Firebird / Icebird medal at the Year End event.

We operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times within a 1 hour start window, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests.

Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

This event takes place on an accurately Measured & UKA Certified Route.

Off road trail, the terrain is riverside towpath. The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a fast and flat route.
