How to Get There
General Event Parking: There is a very limited amount of parking at the Highland Rugby Club, Whin Park, the Highland Archive Centre and across the canal at the Torvean car park. Please car share or use public transport and park responsibly to be considerate of our neighbours.
Blue Badge Parking: There is blue badge parking with the Whin Park car park that is a 4 minute walk along a smooth tarmac path to the start line.
Volunteer Parking: within the regular event car parks.
Drop Offs: You can be dropped off in any of the event car parks.
Public Transport:-
Bus: The closest bus stop is on Tomnahurich Bridge, which is a 10 minute walk from the start line.
Train: Inverness Train Station is a 45 minute walk from the start, but numerous bus routes link the station with the bus stop on Tomnahurich Bridge.
Electric Charging points: There is no electric car charging within any of the local car parks.
Cycling Bike Racks: There are bike racks behind the Highland Rugby Club's clubhouse.
Further Information
This route is mostly flat and on hardstanding paths throughout. There is only one small section at the end of the route on grass which can be avoid if neccessary. Some wheelchair users may require assistance with some of the paths due to the loose stones on the surfaces. Paths should not be impacted by bad weather.
One of the canal bridges has one step on either end. This can be avoided, but will reduce the course route by approx 500m.
We plan to have a British Sign Language Interpretor on stage while our event host is speaking.
