This was my first ever race (half marathon) so nothing else to compare it to. The facilities were good: parking, toilets and route markers etc. Staff/marshals were friendly and encouraging. It was the same medal for all the races though, which had a festive, somewhat childish design.

Arrived in good time and found parking close to start. Friendly and efficient registration. Clear instructions and a fast and flat we’ll signed and marshalled route. I’ll be back.

Route was a bit boring, but it was doable and the medal was cool for completing the race

Simple enough to register, bit of a walk down to the start. Route itself was quite boring, essentially 4 laps up and down. Would have been better to run round the lake. Water stations at each end. No T-Shirt at the end as advertised and all Medals were the same.

Arrived an hour before the start but the parking was full, cars were dumped all over the place including down the route. The start seemed pretty chaotic as there wasn’t really any clear direction. The run itself was fine, route was nice and flat. I probably won’t go back

Miserable start to the race, was made to park a 30 minute walk from the event village, then had to queue 20 mins for the toilet, just barely made it to the start in time. Once the race got going it was fine, if boring. The view is of an artificial rectangular lake, not surrounded by trees or anything to look at. Will not be running there again.

Great course for a first timer, I did the half marathon and had a great time. The staff are great at encouraging you and everyone is so nice. I did find it a bit frantic at the start as so many events going on at once and up to 600 people plus guests there. The parking seemed to hold everyone up and a lot of people ended up starting later than the time slot. The staff were friendly and accommodated this which was nice as I was getting anxious that I was running late. Toilet queue is huge so get there in good time, bag drop is quick so do not worry about this. Enjoy the running, it's a great course!

Good flat course, would highly recommend for a first timer. The weather was windy and rainy but the staff and runners were unaffected. Directions were clear, there was a good range of runners and everyone was friendly. Good atmosphere, would do it again!

The course itself was nice - it's flat and open so you can catch a slight breeze. Just be sure to check your start times - my booking for the 10k said 9:30am but when I got there, it didn't actually start until 11am so there was a lot of hanging around for me!

Flat circuit for a swift run. Organisation was fine, but very busy at the start as so many events on at the same time; 5k/10/half/duathalon/triathalon/sprint triathalon. The 10k did not go around the lake, but was loops on one side; I guess because of cycling on the other side. Shame no event T-Shirt included in package.

Gusty wind down first side of the lake was hard work, twice for the 10k, but the race was good in improving weather. Flat course so good for fast times. Good organisation, good numbers of participants and range of levels.

FLAT. The course is four laps around the man-made Olympic rowing lake so it is flat. Inside and outside toilets. Plenty of free parking. Concrete/ pathway course. Little man under a canopy playing his music half way around.

Brilliant first 5k. I have never been a runner but my friend and I decided to do a run to keep fit and I wanted to raise money for my partners mum who has breast cancer. I managed to raise £215! I was very nervous to do the run but after some training and support from family I made it to Dorney Lake. The organisers were very friendly and helpful and I couldnt have asked for more. The overall experience was amazing and would definitely recommend doing this run! There were water and snacks afterwards which helped bring my energy back after my first 5k. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would do it again!

A GOOD PB COURSE. This was the first time i jad taken part in a run through event. I was a beautiful setting and was very well organised. The only thing is that you need a lot of mental strength for this one as 4 laps really test you, especially the beginning of lap 4 when you look up and all you can see is 2km of lake in front of you. The finish line becomes a thing of imagination. I did find completing it very rewarding and got a new PB of 1:53:33 All in all i would do it again!

Brilliant for a first half-marathon. This was my first ever half-marathon and I don't think I could have chosen a better run! The route itself was amazing, nice and flat and with great scenery. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and they were a massive part of the overall atmosphere. Great value for money and I would highly recommend!

Great Event All Round. I ran the Half Marathon and I thought it was a well organised event with a decent pre race warm up and atmosphere all round. Finished with a nice medal and snacks. I have already booked up for the next one.

Organised event. The event was organised well however could of had another water station on the course. 1 station was not sufficient. The warm up was good and helped group people of same level together. Disappointed the medals were all the same for 5k, 10k and half marathon.
