Organiser's Description

From Moors Valley Country Park to Hengistbury Head, Bournemouth, following the Castleman Trailway for part of the way and along the stunning seafront into Bournemouth. A truly fantastic route, this 50km point-to-point course takes you through a variety of terrain, including wonderful forest trails and coastal paths.

​With a flat, beautifully scenic course you can use this as a perfect intro to ultra-running, an opportunity to challenge yourself to a fast 50km run time, or simply just enjoy an amazing run to the sea!

Course Details

A scenic multi terrain 50km course, mainly flat through forestry and along the seafront to finish next to the beach at Hengistbury Head.

The 50km course starts in Moors Valley for a couple of kilometres before joining the Castleman’s Trailway. You will stay on the Castleman’s Trailway until the approximate halfway mark. It’s relatively flat and will be mainly firm underfoot, but can also be wet in places if we have a lot of rain beforehand. From 27km onwards the course is mainly on promenade and footpaths.

Parking

We recommend to park at the Hengistbury Head car park and to opt in to our pre event shuttle service to the start.

Location

The race starts at Moors Valley Country Park and finishes at Hengistbury Head. Race registration on the morning is at Moors Valley Country Park; pre event shuttles are available from the finish at Hengistbury Head.

Team entry

Team entry (optional): each runner enters individually, giving the team or club name.

We award a prize to the first team or club with 5 runners over the line.

You do not have to run together.

You must enter your team name either at registration, or via your entry confirmation link up until 21 days before race day.

We cannot add a team name to an entry after this point

Optional Extras

Bus transport available from finish to start before the race (£8)

Squashable silicone cup to use at feed stations and finish (£3 during registration process/ £5 on the day) - we want to be as plastic-free as possible, therefore don't provide plastic cups. You can of course also use your water bottles!
