Join us for the return of the Southampton Running Festival and our first event here this year. Beginning and ending in the picturesque Southampton Common. It’s the perfect route for a PB featuring woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and parkland in the well used green open space in the centre of the city. This year we’ve added a junior race to make this a fun day out for the entire family!
Southampton Common is a designated “Site of Special Scientific Interest” and an excellent venue for running, walking and watching wildlife.

Course Details
The Half Marathon consists of 6 laps with a U-turn at the start, the 10k has 3 laps and the 5k has 2 smaller laps.
The various routes will include gentle undulating tarmac paths before finishing under the arch on the gravel stretch adjacent to the event village.

This was a great event and I was on track for a very good race till I did something to my hamstring. Nice mix of flat and a gentle climb up a hill. Marshals were amazing and checked on me as I did my last 3 laps with a limp. Will do it again next year.
